Over 1,000 CRE (Central Asia) Trains Pass Through Alataw Pass This Year

At 17:00 on February 25, a CRE train loaded with auto parts, electronic products and other goods departed from Alataw Pass in Xinjiang, bound for Malaszewicze, Poland. This marked the 1,000th CRE (Central Asia) train to pass through the Alataw Pass this year.

Alataw Pass has optimized the use of yard facilities and handling equipment, implementing a priority system for transshipment, train formation, and dispatching. By refining cargo area management and dynamically adjusting operational categories, the station has accelerated train turnaround times, reducing customs clearance for outbound CRE trains to under five hours. Since the beginning of the year, the station has handled 2.493 million tons of cargo, a 10.4% YoY increase.

To date, over 44,000 CRE (Central Asia) trains have passed through Alataw Pass, with 123 routes reaching 21 countries, including Germany and Poland. The trains carry more than 200 types of goods, including new energy vehicles, mechanical parts and electronic products.
