On the morning of March 19, an international freight train carrying 90 TEUs of export goods departed from Fangshan District, Beijing, bound for Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan. This marks the official launch of Beijing's first China-Central Asia freight train.
Operated by Beijing Xinlu Port Supply Chain Co., Ltd. with full-route transportation services provided by CRCT, the train is loaded with goods from the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region. It departs from the Liulihe BBMG Corporation Dedicated Railway in Fangshan District, exits China via the Horgos Port crossing in Xinjiang, and is expected to reach Tashkent in approximately 10 days, covering a distance of over 5,000 kilometers.
"With land logistics hubs in Shijiazhuang, Tianjin and now Beijing, the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region has essentially established a key land port cluster," said Zhao Bao'en, Director and Executive Vice President of Hebei Land Port Group. He emphasized that this initiative strengthens Beijing's role in the Belt and Road Initiative's comprehensive service system, promotes the coordinated development of CRE (Central Asia) trains in the region, enhances operational efficiency, and supports regional industrial growth, injecting new momentum into higher-standard opening-up in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei area.
