On March 13, a high-speed comprehensive inspection train operated on the newly constructed Chongqingdong–Qianjiang section of the Chongqing-Xiamen High Speed Railway.
The inspection train conducted a comprehensive evaluation of the railway's tracks and systems, marking the first operation of an EMU train on this section and bringing the full line one step closer to opening.
As a key segment of the Chongqing–Xiamen corridor in China's national medium- and long-term railway network plan under the "Eight Vertical and Eight Horizontal" framework, the Chongqingdong–Qianjiang section of the Chongqing-Xiamen High Speed Railway will significantly reduce travel time between Chongqing's main urban area and Qianjiang District from the current four hours to under one hour once operational.
